No fuss Korean Restaurant Spontaneously got invited to dine at Somac for a quick bite and I was so glad I finally got to try them. I've tried their Samgyupsal take-away before and it was really really good and definitely ome of the best I've tried in Cebu. This time we cooked the food and it still live up to my expectations (but the take-away was still better). A set cost us 900 and got to choose the meat we wanted and you are not limited to pork (yes you can also order from their beef selection for this set). They served a couple pf side dishes to share. While these are not unlimited, they are refillable. All pf the side dishes were really good and their seafood soup even had actual seafood chunks ( yes, chunks!). The space was open air and all tables were located on the second-floor but it was still cool and comfortable. Not much I can say on the interiors their food was the star! Service was quite fast as well amd all our servers were super friendly. This is definitely one of the best Korean restaurants in Cebu.

Everything about our dinner yesterday was wonderful. From the cuisine, which was a really excellent and filling meal, to the services, which were very accommodating and pleasant, as well as their simple, neat, and clean atmosphere, which we appreciate. We intend to return there soon and hopefully enjoy the same tasty meals and welcoming services. We'll also tell our friends about the fantastic time we had at this Korean restaurant. Thank you, Somac!

Pretty good—i was expecting a very rudimentary place but was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Somac has a extensive number of items on the menu and priced at a good value. One thing that I really liked was the amount of space available. The tables were not too crowded together. The staff did seem a little overwhelmed. Some orders being served late and even to other tables. Staff were raising their voices really loudly at each other when they follow up on pending orders. Overall, would visit again.

As a foreigner, and a foodie, I have been looking to find a restaurant that offers high quality food, and that’s also healthy. I eat Korean food often when I’m back home. So when I saw that there was a Korean restaurant near me, I thought I would give it a shot; and I was throughly impressed. I ordered the kimchi-jjigae, and the biipimbap. Both were spot on. The kimchi-jjigae was fresh, flavoursome, with the right amount of spice and the bipimbap was also fresh and delicious. The portion sizes were very generous, so much so, I had to take some away in a doggy bag. The food was very authentic and came with loads of side dishes, like radish, cucumber, fish cake, and their kimchi which was very nice. I’m so glad I found this restaurant. It was a really satisfying experience and I’ll be back for lunch and dinner. The BBQ also looked amazing, so i might just have that for lunch tomorrow. Great value, great taste! Highly recommend

I’m giving it an overall rating of 4 (supposed to be 3 over 5) because even though their kimchi tasted funny, the service is great. They are not unlimited here so you will have to order it by item. We had three orders of their regular pork meat and got a kimchi-jjigae for free. Meat is good for its price and the kimchi-jjigae is probably the second best thing that night. Limited portions of side dishes, but refillable. Just ask assistance. However, they really served us a stale kimchi so I’m quite disappointed. Location wise — easy to find ‘cause it’s just by the road. Ventilation is not good. Although there is a balcony, it’s still pretty humid inside. Restroom is clean.

The place gives off a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating, and the owner is very hands-on. The side dishes are great, and the food is very sulit compared to other korean restaurants. We got the special samgyupsal, chadol beef, and the cold noodles. The CR is also well maintained, and clean. Will definitely be back again to dry the other dishes.
